Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She began working for ESPN as a reporter in 2016. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful ability that allowed her to secure her first position in the production department at Univision in Miami that provided her with the opportunity to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. The CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become the sports reporter. Then she moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channels KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. She also filled in for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Then she became anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her greater responsibilities. She covered events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. Apart from that she was also the host and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She has been promoted to sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She also served as anchor of the sports segment for Primer Impacto, a magazine program on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents are from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November in 1985. She is older than her sister. Her family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, younger Collins was able to take a job with her older sister. Antonietta was a senior high school student and had a clear idea of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University in order to determine if they suited her. The campus was a dream for her. It also gave her the degree she wanted. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the college. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU in which she's a part. They developed a close friendship. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and his enthusiasm in journalism was a huge influence on her, and she determined to fulfill his expectations and never failed him.
