Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, an Afghan American actor in the United States has appeared in several television series. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and were granted the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. Her sister in law was raised in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on television by being featured in National Commercials. For the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada portrayed the main character in Chiara a performance for which she was awarded a film festival best actress nomination. Television guest-starring roles include How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells, NUMB3RS bones, Psych as well as Castle. She most recently had the role of a support actress in the science fiction action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedy series by independent filmmakers You Only Better (2009).
